I am dating a guy who is finalizing his divorce. In doing some background on him, I found that he was issued a marriage license in Texas when he was 22. This was two days before he went into the Army. He did not know this woman, she was a friend of his sisters. They never lived together or kept in touch. He went off to the service and never heard or saw her again. He explains that he did it for financial reasons. The woman he married was supposed to get the marriage annulled. Two years after that marriage he married in a different county to another woman. He was married 8 years and is now getting his divorce finalized. What can be done about the first marriage if it is still a valid marriage but he does not know the whereabouts of this woman or anything biographical? I want to marry him, but not while all this is still in his life.
